ABSTRACT: In the crystal of the title compound, C(18)H(15)OP·0.5H(2)O, a water molecule links to two adjacent triphenylphosphine molecules by way of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The crystal is twinned, the minor twin component being 36%.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(10)H(8)N(2))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]NO(2)·CHCl(3)·0.5H(2)O, the Cu atom is tetra-hedrally coordinated by a bidentate 2,2'-bipyridine ligand and two PPh(3) ligands. The Cu-N and Cu-P distances are similar to those observed in similar compounds. The range of coordination angles shows a moderate distortion from ideal tetra-hedral geometry. The bipyridine ligand is twisted [14.2?(4)°] about the ring-ring C-C bond. The nitrate anion and the water and chloro-form mol-ecules of solvation are disordered. In the crystal structure, there are O(water)-H?O(nitrate), C-H?O(water) and C-H?O(nitrate) hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title compound, [CdI(2){(C(6)H(5))(3)PO}(2)], the Cd(II) atom is ligated by two I atoms and two O atoms from two triphenyl-phosphine oxide ligands in a disorted tetra-hedral arrangement. While the O-Cd-I angles vary from 106.67 (7) to 111.23 (7)°, the O-Cd-O angle is 88.60 (10)° and the I-Cd-I angle angle is 125.47 (2)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by van der Waals forces only.

Project description:In the title tribenzyl-chloridotin-triphenyl-phosphine adduct, [Sn(C(7)H(7))(3)Cl(C(18)H(15)OP)], the Sn(IV) atom is in a trans-C(3)SnClO trigonal-bipyramidal geometry and is displaced out of the C(3)Sn girdle in the direction of the axial Cl atom by 0.112 (1) in one independent mol-ecule and by 0.167 (1) Å in the other. The phenyl ring of one of the six benzyl units was refined as equally disordered over two sets of sites.

Project description:The title compound, systematic name 9-isopropyl-idene-2,6-dimethyl-11-oxatricyclo-[6.2.1.0(1,5)]undec-6-en-8-ol, C(15)H(22)O(2), which crystallizes with two mol-ecules of similar conformation in the asymmetric unit, features three fused rings, two of which are five-membered and the third six-membered. Of the two five-membered rings, the one with an O atom has a distinct envelope shape (with the O atom representing the flap). The six-membered ring is also envelope-shaped as it shares a common O atom with the five-membered ring. In the crystal, the two independent mol-ecules are linked by a pair of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, generating a dimer.

Project description:The title compound, [Tb(NCS)3(C18H15OP)3], contains a six-coordinate Tb(II) cation surrounded by three O-bound triphenyl-phosphine oxide ligands and three N-bound thio-cyanate ligands, each in a fac arrangement. There are two crystallographically unique Tb(III) atoms in the asymmetric unit. One Tb(III) atom resides on a threefold rotation axis, while the other has no imposed crystallographic symmetry. Project description:The title co-crystal, [Eu(NCS)3(C18H15OP)3][Eu(NCS)2(NO3)(C18H15OP)3], contains two distinct neutral complexes. Each complex has threefold symmetry about its central Eu(3+) ion. As a result, the nitrate-containing mol-ecule contains disorder of its bidentate nitrate and two N-bound thio-cyanate anions, while the [Eu(NCS)3(OPPh3)3] complex is fully ordered. There is a weak π-π stacking inter-action between the phenyl rings of the two mol-ecules [centroid-centroid distance = 4.138 (4) Å].
