ABSTRACT: In the title complex, {[Pr(C(2)O(4))(1.5)(H(2)O)(2)]·H(2)O}(n), the Pr(III) ion, which lies on a crystallographic inversion centre, is coordinated by seven O atoms from four oxalate ligands and two O atoms from two water ligands; further Pr-O coordination from tetra-dentate oxalate ligands forms a three-dimensional structure. The compound crystallized as a monohydrate, the water mol-ecule occupying space in small voids and being secured by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding as an acceptor from ligand water H atoms and as a donor to oxalate O-acceptor sites.

Project description:In the coordination polymer, {[Pr(C(6)H(5)O(7))(H(2)O)(2)]·H(2)O}(n), seven of the nine coordination sites of the monocapped square-anti-prismatic geometry are occupied by three O atoms of the same citrate trianion (an O atom of the hy-droxy unit and the formally single-bond O atoms from two carboxyl units). Two other coordination sites are occupied by the O atoms of a chelating carboxyl unit of another citrate; one of these atoms is additionally involved in bridging. The seventh coordination site is occupied by the O atom of the formally double-bond O atom of a neighboring citrate. The remaining two coordination sites are occupied by water mol-ecules. The citrate functions in a μ(3)-bridging mode, connecting the metal atoms into a ribbon structure parallel to [010]. The structure is consolidated into a three-dimensional network by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title coordination polymer, {[AgNd(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(2)(C(2)O(4))]·H(2)O}(n), the Nd(III) atom is coordinated in a distorted monocapped square-anti-prismatic geometry by two O and two N atoms of two N,O-bidentate pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate (2-pzc) ligands, four O atoms of two bidentate oxalate ligands, and one O atom of a monodentate carboxyl-ate group of a 2-pzc ligand. The Ag(I) ion is coordinated in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry by two N atoms from two monodentate 2-pzc ligands, one O atom from one monodentate oxalate ligand and one O atom of a bridging carboxyl-ate group of a 2-pzc ligand. The oxalate anions link neighbouring neodymium(III) metal centres into Nd-oxalate chains, which are inter-connected by Ag(2-pyz)(2) units, forming a three-dimensional polymeric framework. Inter-molecular O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds are observed in the crystal structure.

The Nd(III) atom is eight-coordinated in a distorted square-anti-prismatic coordination geometry by four O atoms from two oxalate ligands and four O atoms from four nicotinate ligands. The Ag(I) atom has a T-shaped configuration, defined by two N atoms from two nicotinate ligands and one O atom from one oxalate ligand. The nicotinate and oxalate ligands link the Nd and Ag atoms into a three-dimensional coordination framework. O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds donated by water mol-ecules are observed in the crystal.

Project description:In title compound, {(C(2)H(10)N(2))(0.5)[In(C(2)O(4))(2)]·2H(2)O}(n), the unique In(III) ion is coordinated by eight O atoms from four oxalate ligands in a distorted square-anti-prismatic environment. The doubly bis-chelating oxalate ligands act as bridging ligands connecting symmetry-related In(III) ions and forming a three-dimensional open framework structure. Ethyl-enediammonium cations and water mol-ecules occupy the voids within the structure. The unique ethyl-enediammonium cation and one water mol-ecule both lie on a twofold rotation axis. One of the other two water mol-ecules residing on general crystallographic sites was refined as disordered with half occupancy. In the crystal structure, cations and water mol-ecules are linked to the anionic framework via inter-molecular O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title complex, [Yb(2)(C(8)H(4)O(4))(2)(C(2)O(4))(H(2)O)(2)](n), features an extended three-dimensional framework made up of Yb(3+) ions coordinated by terephthalate ligands, oxalate ligands and water mol-ecules. The Yb(3+) ion has a distorted square-anti-prismatic coordination formed by one aqua ligand, two O atoms from an oxalate ligand and five O atoms belonging to four terephthalate anions. Two symmetry-independent terephthalate anions, as well as the oxalate anion, occupy special positions on inversion centers. The water molecule participates in O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding with both terephthalate anions.

The crystal structure exhibits a three-dimensional heterometallic polymeric network. O-H?O hydrogen bonding between the uncoordinated water mol-ecule and carboxyl-ate O atoms is observed.
