ABSTRACT: In the title complex, [Ni(C(8)H(5)Cl(2)O(3))(2)(H(2)O)(4)], the Ni(II) atom (site symmetry ) adopts a slightly distorted NiO(6) octa-hedral coordination. An intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bond helps to establish the conformation. In the crystal, further O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules.

The acetate ligands are bound to the Ni(II) ion in a monodentate manner through a carboxyl-ate O atom. In the crystal, O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules, forming a two-dimensional supra-molecular network lying parallel to the ab plane.

Project description:The title polymeric compound, [Zn(C(8)H(5)Cl(2)O(3))(2)](n), was prepared by reaction of zinc(II) chloride with 2,4-dichloro-phenoxy-acetic acid and sodium hydroxide under hydro-thermal conditions. The Zn(II) atom is coordinated in a distorted tetra-hedral environment by four O atoms from four 2,4-dichloro-phenoxy-acetate ligands. Each ligand bridges two Zn(II) atoms, forming a polymeric chain along the a axis. Adjacent chains are connected via C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title coordination polymer, {[Ca(C(8)H(5)Cl(2)O(3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·H(2)O}(n), the Ca(II) atom is eight-coordinated by six O atoms from four different (2,4-dichloro-phen-oxy)acetate ligands and two water mol-ecules, and displays a distorted square-anti-prismatic coordination geometry. The compound forms an infinite zigzag chain through connection of the metal centers by (2,4-dichlorphen-oxy)acetate ligands and hydrogen bonding of coordinated and inter-stitial water mol-ecules. These chains are further hydrogen bonded with neighboring chains, forming a supra-molecular network.

A twofold rotation axis passes through the Mg atom. Project description:The mol-ecule of the title compound, [Co(C8H6NO4)2(H2O)4], is centrosymmetric. It is a cobalt(II) complex, bearing two (2-nitro-phen-yl)acetate and four aqua ligands. The coordination around the Co(II) atom is distorted octa-hedral, defined by four O atoms of water mol-ecules in the equatorial plane and by two carboxyl-ate O atoms at axial positions. The dihedral angles between the benzene ring and the acetate and nitro groups are 61.90 (10) and 19.21 (11)°, respectively. Project description:The title compound, {[Cu(2)(C(8)H(5)Cl(2)O(3))(C(10)H(8)N(2))(2)]NO(3)}(n) was prepared by reacting copper(II) nitrate with 4,4'-bipyridine (4,4'-bipy) and (2,4-dichloro-phen-oxy)acetic acid under solvothermal conditions. Each of two copper(I) atoms in the asymmetric unit is three-coordinated by two N atoms from two 4,4'-bipy ligands and one O atom from the (2,4-dichloro-phen-oxy)acetate ligand. As both ligands act as bridging ligands, a double-stranded chain structure is observed.

Project description:In the title dinuclear ionic complex, [Cd(2)(C(4)H(4)N(2))(H(2)O)(8)][Cd(2)(CH(3)CO(2))(8)(C(4)H(4)N(2))], the cation and anion are disordered equally over a site with symmetry mmm. The Cd(II) ions and the N atoms of the bridging pyrazine ligand lie on the inter-section of two crystallographic mirror planes. The C atoms of the bridging pyrazine ligand lie on one of these mirror planes, and the acetate groups and water mol-ecules lie across the inter-secting mirror planes. Each Cd(II) atom in the cation is five-coordinated by four O atoms from four water mol-ecules and one N atom from the bridging pyrazine ligand, whereas each Cd(II) in the anion is nine-coordinated by four pairs of O atoms from the bidentate acetate ligands and one N atom from the bridging pyrazine ligand. In the crystal structure, each anion is surrounded by eight nearest-neighbour cations and vice versa. The crystal structure is stabilized by ionic inter-actions as well as by C-H⋯O inter-actions.
