Project description:In the one-dimensional title coordination polymer, [Co(C(2)O(4))(C(10)H(8)N(2))](n), the Co(II) atom is coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral geometry by two N atoms from one 2,2'-bipyridine ligand and four O atoms belonging to two chelating oxalate ligands. Two neighboring Co centers are bridged by an oxalate ligand, forming a one-dimensional chain structure.

Project description:The title compound, [Ni(C(2)O(4))(C(10)H(8)N(2))](n), is isostructural with its Mn(II), Fe(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) analogues. Each Ni(II) atom is chelated by two oxalate ligands and one 2,2'-bipyridine, forming a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry. Oxlate acts as a bridge to link neighbouring pairs of Ni(II) cations, forming a one-dimensional wave-like chain. The crystal showed partial inversion twinning.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(14)H(8)O(5))(C(12)H(12)N(2))(H(2)O)](n), the Cu(II) ion is penta-coordinated in a square-pyramidal geometry. Two N atoms of the chelating 5,5'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine (dbp) ligand and two O atoms of two different 2,2'-oxydibenzoic (odb) ligands occupy the basal plane while the water O atom completes the square-pyramidal geometry at the apical site. The non-water N(2)O(2) donor atoms are nearly coplanar, with a mean deviation from the least-squares plane of 0.0518 (11) Å and the Cu atom is displaced by 0.1507 (11) Å from this plane towards the apical water O atom. Further coordination via the 2,2'-oxydibenzoate anions forms a one-dimensional coordination polymer extending parallel to [010]. In the crystal structure, O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a two-dimensional supra-molecular structure.

Project description:In the title coordination polymer, [Pb(C(7)H(5)O(2))(NO(3))(C(10)H(8)N(2))](n), the Pb(II) ion is eight-coordinated by two N atoms from one 2,2'-bipyridine ligand, two O atoms from one benzoate anion and four O atoms from three nitrate groups (one chelating, two bridging) in a distorted dodecahedral geometry. Project description:In the asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Cu(C(8)H(3)NO(6))(C(10)H(8)N(2))(H(2)O)](n), there are two symmetry-independent one-dimensional coordination polymers related by a non-crystallographic inversion center. Within the polymers, the Cu(II )atoms, coordinated by the water mol-ecule and the chelating 2,2'-bipyridine ligands, are bridged by 5-nitro-benzene-1,3-dicarboxyl-ate dianions which act as tridentate ligands; the carboxyl-ate groups exhibit monodentate and symmetric bidentate coordination modes. The Cu(II) atoms show a strongly distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. In the crystal structure, the two symmetry-independent coordination polymers form another one-dimensional polymeric structure via O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between coordinated water mol-ecules and carboxyl-ate groups.

The bipy ligands act as bridging ligands between [Cu(ClO(4))(2)(2,2'-bpym)] (2,2'-bpym is 2,2'-bipyrimidine) units, generating an infinite one-dimensional zigzag chain along [010]. Intra- and intermolecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds are present in the crystal structure.
