ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Cu(2)(C(7)H(6)N(2)O(3))Cl(2)(C(5)H(5)N)(4)]·C(3)H(8)O, is a binuclear pyrazolate complex, in which the two Cu(II) atoms have different coordination numbers and are connected by a bridging Cl atom. One Cu(II) atom has a distorted square-pyramidal coordination environment formed by two pyridine N atoms, one bridging Cl atom and an N,O-chelating pyrazolate ligand. The other Cu(II) atom adopts an octa-hedral geometry defined by two pyridine N atoms at the axial positions, two Cl atoms and the coordinated pyrazolate ligand in the equatorial plane. An O-H?O hydrogen bond connects the complex mol-ecules and propan-2-ol solvent mol-ecules into pairs. These pairs form columns along the a axis.

Project description:The title three-dimensional coordination polymer, [Cu(2)Cl(C(6)H(4)N(5))](n), is the product of the hydro-thermal reaction of CuCl(2)·2H(2)O and 5-(4-pyrid-yl)-1H-tetra-zole (4-Hptz). The two independent Cu(I) ions are coordinated in distorted tetra-hedral and distorted trigonal coordination environments. The formula unit consists of three zinc cations, four seleno-cyanato anions, one μ(3)-hydroxido anion, four pyridazine mol-ecules as well as one cyanido anion. The asymmetric unit contains half of a formula unit. One of the zinc atoms, two seleno-cyanato anions, two pyridazine ligands and the μ(3)-hydroxido anion are located on a crystallographic mirror plane, whereas the cyanido anion is located on a twofold rotation axis. Therefore, this anion is disordered due to symmetry. The cyanido anions connect the metal centres into polymeric zigzag chains propagating along the a axis.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Nd(2)(C(6)H(5)COO)(5)Cl(C(4)H(8)O(2))]·2.5C(4)H(8)O(2), consists of two Nd(III) ions bridged by one Cl(-) ion, five benzoate ions and one coordinating 1,4-dioxane mol-ecule. One Nd(III) ion is nine-coordinate, with a very distorted monocapped square-anti-prismatic geometry. It is coordinated by two chelating carboxyl-ate groups, three monodentate carboxyl-ate groups, one chloride ion and one dioxane mol-ecule. A second independent Nd(III) ion is eight-coordinated in a distorted square-anti-prismatic geometry by one chelating carboxyl-ate group, five monodentate carboxyl-ate groups and one chloride ion. The chains of the extended structure are parallel to the crystallographic b axis. There is a small amount of void space which is filled with five disordered dioxane solvent mol-ecules per unit cell. The intensity contribution of the disordered solvent molecules was removed by applying the SQUEEZE procedure in PLATON [Spek (2009). Acta Cryst. D65, 148-155].

The Zn(II) atom is six-coordinated by four N atoms from four 2-(2,4-di-fluoro-phen-yl)-1,3-bis-(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)propan-2-ol (HFlu) ligands and by two Cl atoms in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. Two Cl atoms bridge two Zn(II) atoms, forming a centrosymmetric dinuclear unit. The HFlu ligands connect the dinuclear units into a 4(4) net parallel to (001) when the dinuclear unit is considered as a node. O-H⋯O and O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds link the cationic layer, free chloride anions and lattice water mol-ecules. Intra-layer π-π inter-actions between the triazole rings are observed [centroid-centroid distance = 3.716 (6) Å].
