ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(13)H(11)FO(4), was prepared by the reaction of 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxane-4,6-dione and 2-fluoro-benzaldehyde in ethanol. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked into chains by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
