Catena-Poly[[silver(I)-μ-dipyrazin-2-ylamine] perchlorate monohydrate].

ABSTRACT: In the title complex, {[Ag(C(8)H(7)N(5))]ClO(4)·H(2)O}(n), the multidentate dipyrazin-2-ylamine acts as a μ(2)-bridging link with an anti-syn configuration, assembling the Ag(I) ions into a zigzag chain structure. The Ag(I) ion is linearly coordinated by two dipyrazin-2-ylamine ligands through two pyrazine N atoms. (ClO(4) (-))⋯π(pyrazine) [O⋯centroid distances of 3.612 (3) and 3.664 (1) Å] and π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.518 (2) Å] as well as O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen-bonds assemble the chains into a three-dimensional supra-molecular aggregation.

The structure displays inter-molecular N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding, which consolidates the crystal packing.

Project description:Reaction of 4-amino-pyridine with silver(I) perchlorate leads to a one-dimensional coordination polymer, {[Ag(C(5)H(6)N(2))]ClO(4)}(n), in which the amino-pyridine binds through both N atoms. The perchlorate anion is hydrogen bonded to the amino H atoms and inter-acts weakly with the silver(I) atoms (Ag-O > 2.70 Å), both located on inversion centres, and some aromatic H atoms (O-H > 2.55 ÅA), thereby extending the dimensionality of the assembly. This is the first silver complex in which this ligand acts in a bridging mode.

Each Ag(I) ion is coordinated by two N atoms from two bridging bipy ligands, forming chains along [101]. π-π inter-actions between the pyridine rings [centroid-centroid distances = 3.638 (8) and 3.688 (8) Å] connect the chains. Inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the uncoord-inated water mol-ecules and the perchlorate anions.

Project description:In the title compound, {[Ag(C(12)H(11)N(3)O)]NO(3)·H(2)O}(n), the Ag atom is coordinated by two N atoms from the heterocyclic ligand, giving a linear polycationic chain. Two long Ag⋯O(nitrate) inter-actions [2.667 (3) and 2.840 (3) Å] result in a three-dimensional network. The water mol-ecule consolidates the network structure by forming hydrogen bonds, one to the polycationic chain and one to the nitrate anion.

Project description:In the title compound, {(C(10)H(12)N(3)O(3)S)(2)[CdCl(4)]·H(2)O}(n), the Cd(II) atom is five-coordinate with a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry formed by chloride ions. The Cd atom and two of the Cl atoms lie on a mirror plane. The cation is protonated on the amino group N atom; it is not coordinated to cadmium, but is hydrogen bonded to the chlorido ligands. Each water mol-ecule bridges two chlorido ligands, generating ring motifs along the -Cd-Cl-Cd- chains. The isoxazole unit and the amide groups are linked through a pair of N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds. The crystal structure is stabilized by N-H⋯O, O-H⋯Cl, C-H⋯N, N-H⋯Cl and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, [Ag(C(3)H(3)N(2))](n), has an infinite helical chain structure in which each pyrazolate group bridges two Ag(I) atoms related by a 2(1) axis with an intra-chain Ag⋯Ag separation of 3.3718 (7) Å. Each Ag(I) center is linearly coordinated by two N atoms [N-Ag-N angle = 169.98 (14)°]. The chains are held together by inter-chain Ag⋯Ag inter-actions [3.2547 (6) Å], forming a two-dimensional layer. The X-ray single-crystal diffraction result is consonant with that of the ab initio X-ray powder diffraction reported by Masciocchi, Moret, Cairati, Sironi, Ardizzoia & La Monica [J. Am. Chem. Soc. (1994). 116, 7668-7676], with only minor deviations of structural parameters.

Project description:In the title three-dimensional heterometallic complex, {[AgEr(C(6)H(4)NO(2))(2)(C(2)H(3)O(2))(H(2)O)]ClO(4)}(n), the eight-coordin-ate Er(III) ion adopts a distorted bicapped trigonal-prismatic geometry, being coordinated by four O atoms from four different isonicotinate ligands, three O atoms from two different acetate ligands and one O atom of the water mol-ecule. The two-coordinate Ag(I) ion is surrounded by two N atoms from two different isonicotinate anions in a slightly bent configuration. These building blocks are connected by bridging isonicotinate and acetate ligands, generating a three-dimensional network. Ths structure is consolidated by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding between the coordinated water mol-ecule and a carboxyl-ate group of the acetate ligand. The perchlorate anion is disordered over two sites with site-occupancy factors of 0.526 (13) and 0.474 (13), while the methyl group of the acetate ligand is equally disordered over two sites.
