ABSTRACT: The reaction between tetra-ethyl-ammonium hydroxide and 2,2'-dithio-benzoic acid yields the title compound, 3C(8)H(20)N·H(C(6)H(4)O(5)S(2))(2) (3-), the trianion of which comprises two 2-(sulfato-sulfan-yl)benzoate dianions linked across a center of inversion by an acid H atom. One of the cations is disordered about another center of inversion.
