ABSTRACT: Cocrystallization of 2-amino-6-methy-1,3-benzothia-zole with octa-nedioic acid in a mixed methanol-water medium afforded the title 2:1 cocrystal, 2C(8)H(8)N(2)S·C(8)H(14)O(4). The octa-nedioic acid mol-ecule is located on an inversion centre. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds connect the components into a three-dimensional network.
