{2,2'-[Pyridine-3,4-diylbis(nitrilo-methyl-idyne)]diphenolato}zinc(II).

ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Zn(C(19)H(13)N(3)O(2))], has been synthesized by the reaction of Zn(ClO(4))(2)·6H(2)O and the tetra-dentate Schiff base ligand 2,2'-[pyridine-3,4-diylbis(nitrilo-methyl-idyne)]diphenol (L). The coordination geometry of the Zn(II) ion is slightly distorted square-planar, formed by two N atoms and two O atoms from the L ligand.
