Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, (C(14)H(17)N(2)S(2))[Ru(C(10)H(14))Cl(3)], contains a 1,3-bis-(thio-phen-2-ylmeth-yl)-3,4,5,6-tetra-hydro-pyrimidinium cation and a trichlorido(?(6)-p-cymene)ruthenate(II) anion. The Ru atom exhibits a distorted octa-hedral coordination with the benzene ring of the p-cymene ligand formally occupying three sites and three chloride atoms occupying the other three sites. The N-C bond lengths of the N-C-N unit of the pyrimidinium cation are shorter than the average single C-N bond length of 1.48?Å, thus showing double-bond character, indicating a partial electron delocalization within the N-C-N fragment. The pyrimidine ring has an envelope conformation. Four inter-molecular C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds generate a three-dimensional hydrogen-bonded framework.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, (C(13)H(15)N(2)S(2))[RuCl(3)(C(10)H(14))], contains a 1,3-(2-thienylmeth-yl)-4,5-dihydro-imidazolium cation and a trichlorido(?(6)-p-cymene)ruthenate(II) anion. The thio-phene rings of the cation are disordered by an 180° rotation about the thio-phene-CH(2) bonds with occupancies of 0.847?(5)/0.153?(5) and 0.700?(5)/0.300?(5), respectively. The Ru atom exhibits a distorted octa-hedral coordination with the benzene ring of the p-cymene ligand formally occupying three sites and three Cl atoms occupying the other three sites. The short C-N bond lengths in the imidazoline ring indicate partial electron delocalization within the N-C-N fragment. Cation and anions are connected through five inter-molecular C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds and one C-H?? hydrogen bond, forming a three-dimensional hydrogen-bonded network.

Project description:In the title complex, [RuSn(2)(C(10)H(14))Cl(6)(C(6)H(15)O(3)P)], the Ru-Sn bond lengths [2.5619 (3) and 2.5669 (3) Å] are about 0.3 Å shorter than the sum of the covalent Ru and Sn radii (1.46 + 1.39 = 2.85 Å), in line with other structurally characterized arene ruthenium trichlorido-stannyl derivatives. The Ru(II) atom is surrounded by a para-cymene, a triethylphosphite and two trichloridostannyl ligands in a typical piano-stool coordination.

Project description:The title complex salt, (C8H20N)[ZnCl3(C3H7NO)], contains one [Et4N](+) cation (Et is ethyl) and one [ZnCl3(DMF)](-) anion (DMF is di-methyl-formamide). In the anion, the zinc atom is tetra-hedrally coordinated by a DMF ligand via the O atom and by three terminal Cl atoms. The average Zn-Cl bond length and Cl-Zn-Cl angle are 2.243?(11)?Å and 114?(3)°, respectively.

Project description:Crystals of the title compound, (C(6)H(5)CH(2)CH(2)NH(3))(2)[CoCl(4)], were grown by the solvent-evaporation method. This inorganic-organic hybrid compound exhibits a layered structure in which isolated CoCl(4) inorganic layers alternate with bilayers of phenylethylammonium cations. Although the inorganic anion is zero-dimensional, the layered structure is stabilized via N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds. The CoCl(4) tetra-hedra connect to the cations through N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds, building a two-dimensional network extending parallel to (010).

Project description:The Sn(IV) atom in the title compound, [(CH(3))(4)N][Sn(C(2)O(4))Cl(3)(H(2)O)]·H(2)O, obtained from the reaction between SnCl(4) and [(CH(3))(4)N](2)C(2)O(4)·2H(2)O, is six-coordinated by three Cl atoms, an O atom of a water mol-ecule and two O atoms from an asymmetrically chelating oxalate anion. The environment around the Sn(IV) atom is distorted octa-hedral. The anions are connected by the lattice water mol-ecule through O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, leading to a layered structure parallel to (010). The cations are located between these layers and besides Coulombic forces are connected to the anionic layers through weak C-H⋯O and C-H⋯Cl inter-actions.

Project description:The title compound, [RuCl(2)(C(10)H(14))(C(6)H(6)FN)], a pseudo-octa-hedral d(6) complex, has the expected piano-stool geometry around the Ru(II) atom. The fluoro-aniline ring forms a dihedral angle of 19.3 (2)° with the p-cymene ring. In the crystal, two mol-ecules form an inversion dimer via a pair of N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds. Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯Cl inter-actions involving the p-cymene ring consolidate the crystal packing.

Project description:The title compound, 2C(8)H(20)N(+)·C(2)O(4) (2-)·2H(2)O, synthesized by neutralizing H(2)C(2)O(4)·2H(2)O with (C(2)H(5))(4)NOH in a 1:2 molar ratio, is a deliquescent solid. The oxalate ion is nonplanar, with a dihedral angle between carboxyl-ate groups of 64.37 (2)°. O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds of moderate strength link the O atoms of the water mol-ecules and the oxalate ions into rings parallel to the c axis. The rings exhibit the graph-set motif R(4) (4)(12). In addition, there are weak C-H⋯O inter-actions in the crystal structure.
