ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(7)H(10)O(7), the aliphatic chain is approximately planar [maximum deviation = 0.013 (1) Å] and makes a dihedral angle of 78.75 (7)° with the methoxy-carbonyl group. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via inter-molecular O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into sheets parallel to (100). In the sheet, O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate R(2) (2)(9) and R(2) (2)(8) ring motifs.
