ABSTRACT: In the mol-ecule of the title compound, C(14)H(9)BrN(2)O, the dihedral angle between the aromatic rings is 1.09 (4)°. Intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonding results in the formation of a planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0140 Å) six-membered ring. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular C-H⋯N inter-actions link the mol-ecules into chains.
