ABSTRACT: There are two mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(15)H(9)Cl(3)O. The fluorene rings of the two mol-ecules are both coplanar within 066 (3) Å. In the crystal, C-H⋯O and C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into sheets running parallel to (100).
