N,N'-p-Phenyl-enediisonicotinamide monohydrate.
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: The organic mol-ecule of the title compound, C(18)H(14)N(4)O(2)·H(2)O, lies on a center of inversion located at the centre of the central phenyl-ene ring. There are two half-molecules in the asymmetric unit. In the crystal, the mol-ecules are linked through by N-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds involving the water mol-ecule, forming a layer structure. The layers inter-act by π-π inter-actions between the aromatic rings.
