ABSTRACT: In the one-dimensional title coordination polymer, [Co(C(2)O(4))(C(10)H(8)N(2))](n), the Co(II) atom is coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral geometry by two N atoms from one 2,2'-bipyridine ligand and four O atoms belonging to two chelating oxalate ligands. Two neighboring Co centers are bridged by an oxalate ligand, forming a one-dimensional chain structure.
