Project description:The two symmetry independent mol-ecules of the title compound, C(19)H(13)Cl(2)NO(4), show similar conformations with the acetyl group twisted strongly relative to the remaining, virtually flat (r.m.s. deviations = 0.0173 and 0.0065 Å), part of the mol-ecule. The hydroxyl groups of the 8-hydroxy-quinoline residues are involved in intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, which, in one case, forms a part of a three-center inter-action. Inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds assemble the mol-ecules into a one-dimensional polymeric structure extended along the a axis. The 4-hydroxy-phenyl group of one mol-ecule forms an O-H⋯O hydrogen bond, in which the hydroxyl H atom is disordered, with its inversion center counterpart.

Project description:The mol-ecular and crystal structures of the title compound, C(23)H(28)Cl(2)N(2)O(2), are very close to those of the bromine-substituted analogue N,N-dicyclo-hexyl-2-(5,7-dibromo-8-quinol-yloxy)acetamide. The two cyclo-hexyl groups adopt normal chair conformation. The amide N and C atoms have a planar configuration. The crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and aromatic π⋯π stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid separation = 3.5715 (4) Å for symmetry-related pyridine rings]. In addition, the crystal structure exhibits Cl⋯Cl halogen contacts of 3.4675 (3) Å.

Project description:In the title compound, C20H20N2O2, the quinoline ring system makes dihedral angles of 81.05 (4) and 61.16 (5)° with the mean planes of the benzene and morpholine rings, respectively; the mean planes of the latter two rings make a dihedral angle of 83.59 (4)°. In the crystal, pairs of O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link neighbouring mol-ecules related by a twofold rotation axis, generating R2(2)(10) motifs.
