ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(13)H(10)N(+)·C(9)H(5)O(6) (-)·H(2)O, exhibits a wide range of non-covalent inter-actions, such as O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, π-π stacking [centroid-centroid distances = 3.562 (8) and 3.872 (8) Å] and ion pairing, connecting the various components into a supra-molecular structure.

Project description:Cocrystallization of 2-amino-benzothia-zole with benzene-1,2,4-tricarboxylic acid in a mixed solvent affords the title ternary cocrystal, C(7)H(7)N(2)S(+)·C(9)H(5)O(6) (-)·H(2)O, in which one of the carboxyl groups of the benzene-tricarboxylic acid is deproton-ated and the heterocyclic N atom of the 2-amino-benzothia-zole is protonated. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions stabilize the packing.

Project description:In the title compound, C(13)H(10)N(+)·C(7)H(5)O(3) (-) or (acrH)(+)(Hsal)(-), the asymmetric unit contains one acridinium cation and one salicylate anion. The acridinium N atom is protonated and the carb-oxy-lic acid group of salicylic acid is deprotonated. Both moieties are planar, with an r.m.s. deviation of 0.0127 Å for the acr cation and 0.0235 ° for the sal anion. They are aligned with a dihedral angle of 71.68 (3)° between them. The crystal structure is stabilized by a network of inter-molecular N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. C-H⋯π inter-actions are also present.

Project description:The pyridine N atom of the cation in the title hydrated salt, C(13)H(11)N(2) (+)·NO(3) (-)·H(2)O, is protonated; the N atom of the NH(2) group shows a planar conformation. The former N atom is hydrogen bonded to a water mol-ecule. The amino group is involved in three N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds with two neighboring nitrate anions. The water mol-ecule is hydrogen bonded to two adjacent nitrate anions. In the crystal, this results in a layered network.

The structure contains a range of non-covalent inter-actions, such as O-H⋯O, O-H⋯N and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, as well as π-π stacking [range of centroid-centroid distances = 3.4783 (5)-3.8059 (5) Å]. The N-H⋯O hydrogen bond between the donor acridinium cation and the carboxyl-ate acceptor is particularly strong. The average separation between the π-stacked acridinium planes is 3.42 (3) Å.

Project description:In the title compound, [Co(C(9)H(5)O(6))(2)(C(10)H(8)N(2))](n), the asymmetric unit consists of one Co(2+) ion with site symmetry 2, one mono-deprotonated 1,3,5-benzene-tricarboxylic acid anion and one-half of a 4,4'-bipyridine (4,4'-bipy) mol-ecule, in which two N and two C atoms have site symmetry 2. In the crystal structure, the Co(2+) centre is coordinated by four O atoms from two bidentate carboxyl-ate groups of two anions and two N atoms of two 4,4'-bipy mol-ecules, resulting in infinite chains propagating in [010]. The cobalt coordination is distorted trans-CoO(4)N(2) octa-hedral and inter-chain O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds complete the structure.

The Cd(II) atom, located on the twofold axis, assumes a CdO(4)N(2) distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. In the crystal structure, the mol-ecules link to each other by O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonding to form a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.
