ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(14)H(21)NO(4), has been synthesized from o-dihydroxy-benzene by a three-step reaction. There are two chemically equal but crystallographically independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. The crystal packing is governed by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and C-H⋯π inter-actions, forming an infinite network.
