ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(8)H(12)O(2), the cyclo-hexane ring exhibits a chair conformation and the δ-lactone ring is axially bonded to the cyclo-hexane ring. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, resulting in ribbons extending along [010].
