Aqua-bis[N'-(2-hydroxy-benzyl-idene)isonicotinohydrazide-κN]silver(I) nitrate.

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Ag(C(13)H(11)N(3)O(2))(2)(H(2)O)]NO(3), two N atoms from two pyridine rings of two N'-(2-hydroxy-benzyl-idene)isonicotinohydrazide ligands coordinate to the Ag(I) atom, forming a nearly linear geometry with an N-Ag-N angle of 171.63 (6)°; a water O atom is located at the apical site, completing the T-shaped coordination. The crystal structure is stabilized by extensive O-H⋯O, O-H⋯N and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonding.

Mol-ecules form a two-dimensional layered structure via O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N inter-actions. The Pb atom adopts distorted cubo-octahedral coordination.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, 2C(15)H(9)F(6)N(3)O·H(2)O, contains two independent Schiff base mol-ecules and one water mol-ecule. Both Schiff base mol-ecules exist in an E configuration with respect to the C=N double bonds and the dihedral angles between the benzene and the pyridine rings in the two mol-ecules are 17.53 (12) and 20.62 (12)°. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked by inter-molecular N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into infinite one-dimensional chains along the a axis. In addition, inter-molecular O-H⋯N, O-H⋯F, C-H⋯F and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds further link these chains into a three-dimensional network. Weak π-π inter-actions with centroid-centroid distances in the range 3.6495 (17)-3.7092 (16) Å are also observed.

Project description:The title Schiff base compound, C(13)H(9)BrClN(3)O(2)·CH(4)O, was derived from the condensation reaction of 3-bromo-5-chloro-salicylaldehyde with isonicotinohydrazide. The dihedral angle between the benzene and pyridine rings is 5.9 (2)°. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked through N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O, and O-H⋯Br inter-molecular hydrogen bonds, forming dimers and chains. There is also an intramolecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bond.

Project description:In the title compound, [Ag(C(14)H(10)N(4)O)(2)]CF(3)SO(3), two N atoms from two independent pyridyl rings of two N'-3-cyano-benzyl-ideneisonicotinohydrazide ligands coordinate to the unique Ag(I) ion, forming a nearly linear coordination geometry. Adjacent silver complexes are primarily linked together by Ag⋯N inter-actions, with Ag⋯N separations of 2.877 (2) and 3.314 (2) Å. On the other hand, one CF(3)SO(3) (-) anion inter-acts with hydrazone groups of two neighbouring ligands via N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. These weak inter-molecular inter-actions contribute to the formation of supra-molecular chains. In addition, there are Ag⋯O inter-actions [2.787 (2) Å] between Ag and O atoms from adjacent chains.

Project description:In the title compound, [Ag(C(6)H(9)N(3)O(3))(2)]NO(3), the Ag atom is bicoordinated in a distorted linear configuration by two 1-(2-hydroxy-ethyl)-2-methyl-5-nitro-imidazole ligands through one of the N atoms. The dihedral angle between the two imidazole rings is 16.1 (2)°. The O atoms of the nitrate anion are disordered over two positions; the site occupancy factors are 0.8 and 0.2. The ions are -connected by C-H⋯O inter-actions, while two weak intra-molecular C-H⋯O inter-actions producing an S(6) ring motif are observed. The nitrate anion is linked to the hydroxyl groups of two neighbouring cations by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The ions are packed into infinite chains along the [100] direction.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Ag(C(5)H(6)N(2))(2)]NO(3), consists of one and a half each of both cations and anions, the other halves being generated by crystallographic inversion centres. One of the Ag(I) atoms lies on an inversion center and one of the nitrate ions is disordered across an inversion center. Each Ag(I) atom is bicoordinated in a linear geometry by two N atoms from two 2-amino-pyridine ligands. In the crystal structure, the cations and anions are linked into a two-dimensional network parallel to (001) by N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, C(13)H(11)N(3)O(3), crystallized with two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. One of the mol-ecules is twisted while the other is almost planar, with dihedral angles of 28.02 (6) and 2.42 (9)°, respectively, between the benzene and pyridine rings. Intra-molecular O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds are present in both mol-ecules. The two independent mol-ecules are linked by pairs of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The crystal structure is further stabilized by inter-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds and C-H⋯N and C-H⋯O inter-actions.

Project description:The title isoniazid derivative, C(16)H(17)N(3)O, exists in an E configuration with respect to the Schiff base C=N bond. The pyridine ring is essentially planar [maximum deviation = 0.009 (3) Å]. The mean plane through the hydrazide unit forms dihedral angles of 38.38 (16) and 39.42 (16)°, respectively, with the pyridine and benzene rings. In the crystal structure, symmetry-related mol-ecules are linked via inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into chains along [100]. The crystal structure is further stabilized by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯π inter-actions.
