Bis[N-(1-naphth-yl)ethyl-enediammonium] hexa-bromidoplumbate(II).

ABSTRACT: The title compound, (C(12)H(16)N(2))(2)[PbBr(6)], is an organic-inorganic salt, with two doubly protonated N-(1-naphth-yl)ethyl-enediammonium cations and one octa-hedral hexa-bromidoplumbate(II) anion. The Pb(II) atom is located on a centre of inversion. The crystal structure consists of alternating inorganic and organic layers parallel to the bc plane. Face-to-face aromatic stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.505 (5) Å] occur between parallel naphthalene systems in the organic layers, and N-H⋯Br hydrogen bonds between the cations and anions stabilize the crystal structure.

Project description:The title compound, 2C(2)H(10)N(2) (2+)·B(14)O(20)(OH)(6) (4-), consists of a centrosymmetric tetra-deca-borate anion and two ethyl-enediammonium cations. The anions are inter-connected through strong O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional supra-molecular network with channels along [100], [010], [001] and [111]. The diprotonated cations reside in the channels and inter-act with the inorganic framework by extensive N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, [NH(3)(CH(2))(2)NH(3)][Mg(SO(4))(2)(H(2)O)(4)], was synthesized by the slow evaporation method. Its crystal structure can be described as an alternate stacking of inorganic layers of tetra-aqua-bis(sulfato-O)magnesium [Mg(SO(4))(2)(H(2)O)(4)](2-) anions ( symmetry) and organic layers of [NH(3)(CH(2))(2)NH(3)](2+) cations along the crystallographic b axis. The anions, built up from tetrahedral SO(4) units and octahedral Mg(H(2)O)(4)O(2) units, and the cations are linked together through N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network. O-H⋯O inter-actions are also present.

Project description:In the structure of the title compound, [Pd(C(19)H(21)N(2)P)(2)](PF(6))(2)·2.85CH(3)CN, the two six-membered NHC-phosphane chelate rings form a distorted square-planar coordination geometry around the Pd(II) atom, which lies 0.212 (1) Å above the coordination plane. The sum of the bond angles at Pd(II) is 358.3°, with C-Pd-P bite angles of 84.03 (10) and 83.54 (9)°. The structure includes three acetonitrile solvent mol-ecules, one with partial site occupation and one with severe disorder, which was eventually excluded from the refinement.

Ethyl-enediammonium tetra-bromido-mercurate(II) monohydrate.

Project description:The Hg(II) atoms in the crystal structure of the title compound, (C(2)H(10)N(2))[HgBr(4)]·H(2)O, are tetra-hedrally coordinated by four Br atoms and the resulting [HgBr(4)](2-) ions are inter-connected to the [NH(3)-CH(2)-CH(2)-NH(3)](2+) ions and water mol-ecules by N-H⋯Br and O-H⋯Br bonds, forming a three-dimensional network. N-H⋯O inter-actions are also present. The observed three different Hg-Br distances of 2.5597 (6), 2.6862 (8) and 2.6923 (8) Å in the tetra-bromo-mercurate unit are due to the connection of Br atoms to different numbers of H atoms. The Hg, O and two Br atoms are located on a crystallographic mirror plane. The cation has symmetry with the center of the C-C bond lying on a crystallographic center of inversion.

Project description:The title compound, (C7H10N)2(H3O)2[Fe(CN)6] or (Etpy)2(H3O)2[Fe(CN)6] (Etpy+ is 1-ethyl-pyridinium), crystallizes in the space group Pnnm. The FeII atom of the [Fe(CN)6]4- anion lies on a site with site symmetry ..2/m, and has an octa-hedral coordination sphere defined by six cyanido ligands. Both the Etpy+ and the oxonium cations are located on a mirror plane. In the crystal, electron-donor anions of [Fe(CN)6]4- and electron-acceptor cations of Etpy+ are each stacked parallel to the b axis, resulting in a columnar structure with segregated moieties. The crystal packing is stabilized by a three-dimensional O-H⋯N hydrogen-bonding network between the oxonium ions and the cyanide ligands of [Fe(CN)6]4-.

Project description:The title dinuclear complex mol-ecule, [Cu2(C13H9N4)2(PF6)2], lies about an inversion center. The Cu(II) atom shows a square-pyramidal coordination geometry with the basal plane formed by four N atoms of the two bis-chelating 3,5-bis-(pyridin-2-yl)pyrazolate ions and with one F atom of the hexa-fluoro-phosphate ion in the apical position. Mol-ecules are stacked in a column along the a axis through C-H⋯F hydrogen bonds. The columns are further linked by other C-H⋯F hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The title compound, C(2)H(10)N(2) (2+)·2HC(4)O(4) (-)·H(2)O, a new polymorph of ethyl-enediammonium bis-(hydrogen squarate) monohydrate, was synthesized by slow evaporation of an acid solution. The asymetric unit contains two hydrogen squarate anions, two half-mol-ecules of protonated ethyl-enediamine arranged around a twofold axis and one water mol-ecule. In the crystal, N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the hydrogen squarate anions, protonated N atoms from the amine group and water mol-ecules lead to a three-dimensional framework. In particular, the cohesion between the squarate groups is ensured by very short intermolecular hydrogen bonds bonds. The title compound crystallized together with the previously reported polymorph [Mathew et al. (2002 ▶). J. Mol. Struct.641, 263-279].

Each of the positively charged ammonium ends of the mol-ecule is trigonally hydrogen bonded to three different chloride counter-ions, while each of the chloride ions is trigonally hydrogen bonded to three different ethyl-enediammonium cations. The hydrogen-bonding network leads to stabilization of the structure.
