Counting single molecules in sub-nanolitre droplets.

ABSTRACT: We demonstrate single biomolecule detection and quantification within sub-nanolitre droplets through application of Cylindrical Illumination Confocal Spectroscopy (CICS) and droplet confinement within a retractable microfluidic constriction.
