ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(15)H(10)F(2)O(2)S, the S=O and the 4-fluoro-phenyl groups are located on opposite sides of the plane of benzofuran ring system, and the 4-fluoro-phenyl ring is nearly perpendicular to the benzofuran plane with a dihedral angle of 89.93 (4)°. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonding and C-H⋯π inter-actions.
