ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(8)H(11)N(3)O(4)·H(2)O, was synthesized by reaction of 2-azido-acetic acid and ethyl acetyl-acetate. In the crystal packing, mol-ecules are linked by strong inter-molecular O-H⋯N and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into double layers parallel to the ab plane.
