ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(9)H(9)FN(2)O, was prepared by the reaction of 4-fluoro-benzophenone and acethydrazide. In the mol-ecule, all non-H atoms are essentially coplanar [r.m.s. deviation = 0.065 (2) Å]. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into centrosymmetric dimers by pairs of inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
