ABSTRACT: In structure of the title compound ammonium ferulate monohydrate, NH(4) (+)·C(10)H(9)O(4) (-)·H(2)O, O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the ammonium cations, ferulate anions and water mol-ecules into a three-dimensional array. The ferulate anion is approximately planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.307 (2) Å.
