ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Pd(C(9)H(6)N(3)O(3)S)Cl], the Pd(II) ion is coordinated by one O and two N atoms from a 4-(pyridin-2-yl)pyrimidine-2-sulfonate ligand and one chloride anion in a distorted square-planar geometry. In the crystal, all mol-ecules are situated on mirror planes and inter-act through weak inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title compound, [PdCl(2)(C(5)H(6)BNO(2))(2)]·2C(2)H(6)OS, the Pd(II) ion is located on an inversion centre and is four-coordinated in a trans square-planar geometry by two chloride ions and two (pyridin-4-yl)boronic acid ligands. The Pd-N and Pd-Cl distances are 2.023 (2) and 2.2977 (7) Å, respectively, and the average N-Pd-Cl angle is 90°. The dimethyl sulfoxide solvent mol-ecules play a key role in the crystal structure by bridging the complex mol-ecules via O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming tapes running along the b axis. C-H⋯O inter-actions also contribute to the cohesion of the crystal.

The tetra-hydro-pyrimidine group of the N-(2,4,6-trimethyl-phen-yl)-1,4,5,6-tetra-hydro-pyrimidine ligand is twisted from the square (PdN(2)Br(2)) coordination plane with a C-N-Pd-Br torsion angle of 81.8 (4)°; this is different from the angle of 43.47 (14)°, reported in a closely related structure, dichloridobis(1-methyl-1,4,5,6-tetra-hydro-pyrimidine)-palladium(II).

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(7)H(7)N(2)O)Cl(C(7)H(8)N(2)O)]·3H(2)O, the metal ion is five-coordinated by the N atoms from the 1-(pyridin-2-yl)ethanone oximate and 1-(pyridin-2-yl)ethanone oxime ligands and by the chloride anion in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry. The distortion parameter is 0.192. The two organic ligands are linked by an intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bond. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by O-H⋯O and O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds. The title compound is the hydrated form of a previously reported structure [Wu & Wu (2008 ▶). Acta Cryst. E64, m828]. There are only slight variations in the mol-ecular geometries of the two compounds.

Project description:The title compound, [PdCl2(C4H4N2)2], contains two crystallographically unique complexes; the Pd(II) atom lies on an inversion center in both cases. The two pyridazine units bonded to the Pd(II) atom are thus coplanar although dihedral angles within each complex are different. In one complex, the angle between the ring plane and Pd-Cl bond is almost perpendicular [89.4 (1)°], while the other is tilted with an angle of 60.0 (1)°. In the crystal, weak C⋯H-N hydrogen bonds and C⋯H-Cl inter-actions connect the two independent complex mol-ecules.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Ag(3)(C(9)H(6)N(3)O(3)S)(3)(H(2)O)(2)](n), the mol-ecules are linked into three-decked polymeric zigzag chains propagating in [100]. On the middle deck, the Ag atom is five-coordinated by three O atoms from three 4-(3-pyrid-yl)pyrimidine-2-sulfonate (L) ligands, one of which lies on a mirror plane with the sulfonate group disordered over two orientations in a 1:1 ratio, and two N atoms from two L ligands, which lie on the same mirror plane. On the upper and lower decks, the Ag atom is four-coordinated by an aqua ligand, one O and two N atoms from two L ligands with the pyridyl and pyrimidine rings twisted at 19.8 (2)°. In the polymeric chain, there are π-π inter-actions between six-membered rings of L ligands from different decks with centroid-centroid distances of 3.621 (7) and 3.721 (3) Å. In the crystal, inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link further these three-decked chains into layers parallel to (010).

Project description:The title tetra-nuclear complex, [Cu(4)Cl(6)O(C(13)H(11)N(3))(4)], features a tetra-hedral arrangement of copper(II) ions bonded to the central O atom (site symmetry [Formula: see text]). Each of the six edges of the Cu(4) tetra-hedron is bridged by a chloride ion (one of which has site symmetry 2), so that each copper ion is linked to the other three metal ions through the central O atom and through three separate chloride-ion bridges. The fifth coord-ination position, located on the central Cu-O axis on the outside of the cluster, is occupied by an N atom of the mono-dentate 1-(pyridin-2-ylmeth-yl)-1H-benzimidazole ligand. The resulting coordination geometry of the metal ion is a distorted trigonal bipyramid with the O and N atoms in the axial positions. The dihedral angle between the benzimidazole ring system and the pendant pyridine ring is 61.0 (2)°.
