ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [AuCl(C(19)H(17)P)], the Au(I) atom exists within a P and Cl donor set that constitutes an almost linear geometry. The three phenyl rings make dihedral angles of 38.33 (14), 81.26 (15) and 81.28 (14)° with each other. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into chains along the b axis by inter-molecular C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds.
