ABSTRACT: In the structure of the title compound, [RuCl(2)(C(16)H(14)N(2)O)(C(18)H(15)P)]·CH(3)OH, he Ru(II) ion shows a slightly distorted octahedral coordination by two N atoms and one O atom from the 2-methyl-8-(pyridin-2-ylmeth-oxy)quinoline acting as an N,O,N'-tridentate ligand, two Cl atoms, and one P atom from a PPh(3) ligand. The two Cl atoms adopt a cis arrangement with the PPh(3) ligand trans to one Cl atom. The N,O,N'-tridentate ligand occupies a mer position in the coordination sphere.

Project description:In the mononuclear title complex, [Ag(C5H12N2S)(C18H15P)3](CH3COO)·CH3OH, the Ag(I) ion is in a distorted tetra-hedral coordination geometry formed by three P atoms from three tri-phenyl-phosphane ligands and one S atom from an N,N'-di-ethyl-thio-urea ligand. In the crystal, the acetate anion is connected to the complex mol-ecule via a pair of N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds [graph-set motif R (2) 2(8)] and the solvent methanol mol-ecule is connected to the anion via an O-H⋯O hydrogen bond. This aggregate is further connected through a weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bond, forming a chain along [100]. In addition, sixfold phenyl embraces with inter-molecular distances of 6.6463 (13)-6.667 (2) Å are arranged in a chain along [001]. Project description:The title compound, [PtCl(2)(C(25)H(21)N(2)P)], is a Pt(II) complex with an NPCl(2) coordination sphere in which the metal is coordinated to the imino N and phosphane P atoms of the ligand and to two chloride ions. The Pt(II) atom is in a distorted square-planar environment and is bound to the ligand via the P and amine N atoms in a cis fashion, with the chlorine atoms located at the two remaining sites.

Project description:The title compound, [RuCl2(η(6)-C6H6)(C12H22ClP)]·CHCl3, was prepared by reaction of [RuCl2(η(6)-C6H6)]2 with chloro-dicyclo-hexyl-phosphane in CHCl3 at 323 K under argon. The Ru(II) atom is surrounded by one arene ligand, two Cl atoms and a phosphane ligand in a piano-stool geometry. The phosphane ligand is linked by the P atom, with an Ru-P bond length of 2.3247 (4) Å. Both cyclo-hexyl rings at the P atom adopt a chair conformation. In the crystal, the Ru(II) complex mol-ecule and the chloro-form solvent mol-ecule are linked by a bifurcated C-H⋯(Cl,Cl) hydrogen bond. Intra-molecular C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds are also observed.

Project description:The Ru(II) atom in the title compound, [RuCl(2)(C(12)H(18))(C(9)H(12)ClN(3)O)]·CHCl(3), exhibits a typical piano-stool coordination, defined by a hexa-methyl-benzene ligand, two chloride ligands and a pyridyl-urea ligand coordinated through the pyridine N atom. In the crystal, a dimeric structure is observed due to two strong N-H⋯Cl inter-actions between the NH groups of urea and the two chloride ligands of neighbouring mol-ecules. In addition, the C=O group of the urea moiety inter-acts with the solvent mol-ecule through weak C-H⋯O interactions.

Project description:In the title Ru(II) complex, [RuCl(2)(C(8)H(12))(C(2)H(3)N)(2)]·CH(3)CN, the metal ion is coordinated to the centers of each of the double bonds of the cyclo-octa-diene ligand, to two chloride ions (in cis positions) and to two N-atom donors (from MeCN mol-ecules) that complete the coordination sphere for the neutral complex. The coordination about the Ru(II) atom can thus be considered to be octa-hedral with a slightly trigonal distortion. There is also one acetonitrile solvent mol-ecule per mol-ecule which is outside the coordination sphere of the ruthenium atom.

Project description:In the title compound, [CdCl2(C13H12N4S)]·CH3OH, the coord-ination geometry of the Cd(II) ion is slightly distorted square-pyramidal, as indicated by the τ index of 0.36 (8). The S atom, two N atoms from the pyridyl-azomethine moiety and one of the Cl atoms comprise the basal plane, while the other Cl atom occupies the apical position. The hydrazinecarbo-thio-amide moiety adopts an E conformation with respect to the azomethine bond. The solvate mol-ecule in the crystal lattice plays a major role in inter-connecting adjacent mol-ecules by means of O-H⋯Cl and N-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions. A supra-molecular three-dimensional architecture is sustained in terms of further N-H⋯Cl and C-H⋯Cl hydrogen-bonding inter-actions.

In the crystal packing an extended three-dimensional network formed by N-H⋯Cl, N-H⋯O, O-H⋯N, O-H⋯N and O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds is observed.

Project description:In the title compound, [Ir(C(11)H(6)F(2)N)(2)(C(7)H(6)NO)(H(2)O)]·CH(3)OH, the Ir(III) ion adopts an octa-hedral geometry, and is coordinated by two 3,5-difluoro-2-(pyridin-2-yl)phenyl ligands, one mol-ecule of water and one benzamidate anion. The two 2-(4,6-difluoro-phen-yl)pyridyl ligands are arranged in a cis-C,C' and trans-N,N' fashion. Additionally, there is a bystanding methanol mol-ecule outside the coordination sphere of the Ir(III) ion. In the crystal, mol-ecules of the title compound are linked by O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds. One F atom of each ligand is equally disordered over two sites. The C atom of the solvent molecule is likewise disordered over two sites in a 0.589 (11):0.411 (11) ratio.
