Cis-Diaqua-bis-[dimethyl (phenyl-sulfonyl-imino)-phospho-nato]cobalt(II).

ABSTRACT: In the title diaqua-cobalt complex, [Co(C(8)H(11)NO(5)PS)(2)(H(2)O)(2)], the Co(II) atom is surrounded by six O atoms belonging to the phosphoryl and sulfonyl groups of two deprotonated chelate ligands and two additional O atoms from water mol-ecules which are in cis positions with respect to one another. The coordination environment of cobalt can be described as a distorted octa-hedron. O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the water and sulfonyl O atoms of neighboring mol-ecules form chains running parallel to [010]. Two methoxy groups attached to one phosphorus are disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.6:0.4 ratio.

Project description:In the title compound, (C(12)H(24)N)[Sn(CH(3))(3)(C(6)H(6)O(3)P)(2)], the SnMe(3) residues are axially coordinated by two monodentate [PhPO(3)H](-) anions, leading to a trigonal-bipyramidal geometry for the Sn(IV) atom. The two [SnMe(3)(PhPO(3)H)(2)](-) anions in the unit cell are associated into infinite chains along the a axis by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the hy-droxy group of the hydrogen phenyl-phospho-nate ion. The chains inter-act with one another via O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds along the c axis. These networks of anions assemble with the dicyclo-hexyl-ammonium ion through N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The title complex, [Co(C(7)H(4)NO(3)S)(2)(C(2)H(6)OS)(2)(H(2)O)(2)], contains a Co(2+) cation in an octa-hedral coordination environment. The metal atom is surrounded by two different neutral ligands, namely dimethyl-sulfoxide (DMSO) and water, each coordinating through the O atom. The anionic saccharinate (sac; 1,1,3-trioxo-2,3-dihydro-1λ(6),2-benzothia-zol-2-ide) ligand coordinates through the N atom. Each of the three similar ligand pairs is in a trans configuration with respect to each other. The Co atom lies on a crystallographic center of symmetry and the octa-hedral geometry is not significantly distorted. A short O-H⋯O hydrogen bond is present between a water H atom and the ketone O atom; two longer hydrogen bonds (intra- and inter-molecular) are also present between a water H and a sulfonic O atom, forming a supramolecular assembly through head-to-tail aggregation between adjacent complexes.

Project description:The central Sn(IV) atom of the penta-nuclear title complex, {[Sn(CH(3))(3)](3)O(2)C(CH(2))PO(3)[Sn(CH(3))(3)(H(2)O)](2)HO(2)C(CH(2))PO(3)}, is located on a twofold rotation axis; due to symmetry, the H atom of the carboxyl group of the anion is disordered with a site occupancy of 0.5. The central Sn(IV) atom is bonded to three methyl groups (one of which is disordered about the twofold rotation axis) and is symmetrically trans coordinated by two phospho-nate groups with Sn-O = 2.2665 (12) Å while the other SnMe(3) residues are asymmetrically trans coordinated with Sn-O = 2.1587 (12) and 2.3756 (13) Å for one residue and Sn-O = 2.1522 (12) and 2.4335 (12) Å for the other; the Sn-O distances involving two O atoms trans to carboxyl-ate are longer than those trans to phospho-nate groups. The Sn-C distances lie in a very narrow range [2.112 (2)-2.133 (3) Å]. The oxyanion behaves as a tetra-coordinating ligand. The bridging mode of the latter leads to the formation of layers parallel to (001) that are inter-connected by O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title Co(II) complex, [Co(C(9)H(10)NO(2))(2)(C(10)H(14)N(2)O)(2)(H(2)O)(2)], is centrosymmetric. It contains two dimethyl-amino-benzoate (DMAB) and two diethyl-nicotinamide (DENA) ligands and two water mol-ecules, all of them being monodentate. The four O atoms in the equatorial plane around the Co atom form a slightly distorted square-planar arrangement, while the slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination is completed by the two pyridine N atoms of DENA ligands with the Co-N distance of 2.1519 (11) Å in the axial positions. The Co atom is displaced out of the least-squares plane of the carboxyl-ate group by -0.781 (1) Å. The dihedral angle between the carboxyl-ate group and the adjacent benzene ring is 5.05 (7)°, while the pyridine and benzene rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 71.48 (5)°. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a three-dimensional network. Two weak C-H⋯π inter-actions are also present.

Project description:In the title compound, [Mn(C(5)H(9)N(2)O(7)P(2))(2)(H(2)O)(2)], the Mn(II) atom (site symmetry ) is coordinated by four phos-pho-n-ate O atoms from a pair of partially deprotonated 1-hydr-oxy-2-(imidazol-3-yl)ethane-1,1-bis-phophonic acid ligands (imhedpH(3) (-)) and two water mol-ecules, resulting in a slightly distorted trans-MnO(6) octa-hedral geometry for the metal ion. In the ligands, the imidazole units are protonated and two of the hydr-oxy O atoms of the phospho-nate groups are deprotonated and chelate the Mn(II), thus forming the neutral mol-ecule of the title compound. The two protonated O atoms within the phospho-nate groups of one imhedpH(3) (-) ligand act as hydrogen-bond acceptors for a bifurcated hydrogen bond originating from the coordinated water mol-ecule. The phospho-nate units of neigboring mol-ecules are connected with their equivalents in neighboring mol-ecules via two types of inversion-symmetric hydrogen-bonding arrangements with four and two strong O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, respectively. The two inter-actions connect mol-ecules into infinite chains along [111] and [110], in combination forming a tightly hydrogen-bonded three-dimensional supra-molecular network. This network is further stabilized by additional hydrogen bonds between the protonated imidazole units and one of the coordinated P-O O atoms and by additional O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the water mol-ecules and the P=O O atoms of neigboring mol-ecules.

Project description:In the mononuclear title complex, [Zn(C(10)H(8)N(2))(2)(C(2)H(6)OS)(2)](C(24)H(20)B)(2)·C(2)H(6)OS, the Zn(II) ion is coordinated by four N atoms of two bidentate 2,2'-bipyridine mol-ecules and by the O atoms of two cis-disposed dimethyl sulfoxide mol-ecules in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The S atom and the methyl groups of one of the coordinated dimethyl sulfoxide mol-ecules are disordered in a 0.509 (2):0.491 (2) ratio. The crystal packing is stabilized by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the dimethyl sulfoxide solvent mol-ecules and tetra-phenyl-borate anions.

Project description:The title Co(II) complex, [Co(C(9)H(10)NO(2))(2)(C(6)H(6)N(2)O)(H(2)O)(2)], contains two 4-dimethyl-amino-benzoate (DMAB) anions, one isonicotinamide (INA) ligand and two coordinated water mol-ecules. One of the DMAB anions acts as a bidentate ligand, while the other is monodentate. The four O atoms in the equatorial plane around the Co atom form a highly distorted square-planar arrangement, while the distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry is completed by the N atom of the INA ligand and the O atom of the second water mol-ecule in the axial positions. An intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bond between the monodentate-coordinated carboxyl group and a coordinated water mol-ecule results in a six-membered ring with an envelope conformation. The dihedral angles between the carboxyl groups and the adjacent benzene rings are 4.29 (10)° for the monodentate ligand and 2.31 (13)° for the bidentate ligand, while the two benzene rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 65.02 (5)°. The dihedral angles between the pyridine and benzene rings are 11.21 (5)° for the monodentate ligand and 74.60 (5)° for the bidentate ligand. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H⋯O, O-H⋯N and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a supra-molecular structure.
