Bis(acetato-κO,O')[2,6-bis-(1H-pyrazol-3-yl-κN)pyridine-κN]manganese(II).

ABSTRACT: In the title complex, [Mn(CH(3)CO(2))(2)(C(11)H(9)N(5))], the Mn(II) atom is coordinated by the pyridine N atom and two pyrazole N atoms from a 2,6-bis-(pyrazol-3-yl)pyridine ligand and four O atoms from two bidentate acetate ligands. The complex mol-ecules are linked by inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into a chain along [010]. π-π inter-actions between the pyridine rings and between the pyrazole rings [centroid-centroid distances = 3.772 (2) and 3.546 (2) Å] connect the chains.

Project description:In the title compound, (C(5)H(6)N)[Sm(NO(3))(4)(C(23)H(17)N(5))]·C(5)H(5)N, the Sm(III) atom is ten-coordinated by the N,N',N''-tridentate bis-(pyrazole) ligand and seven O atoms from four nitrate anions (three bidentate and one monodentate). The dihedral angles between the central pyridine ring and adjacent pyrazole rings in the ligand are 1.3 (2) and 3.2 (2)°; the dihedral angles between the pyrazole rings and their pendant phenyl rings are 42.0 (3) and 16.1 (2)°. The conformation of the anionic complex ion is supported by an intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds occur. Project description:The dinuclear title compound, [Pb(2)(C(6)H(8)O(4))(NO(3))(2)(C(19)H(13)N(5))(2)], lies with the mid-point of the butyl chain of the bridging adipate unit on a center of inversion. The Pb(II) ion is covalently bonded to the nitrate anion and is bonded to a carboxyl-ate group of the adipate unit by another covalent bond. The N-heterocycle functions in a chelating tridentate mode. The metal atom exists in a Ψ-octa-hedral coordination environment. When weaker Pb⋯O inter-actions are also considered, the geometry is a Ψ-tricapped trigonal prism in which the lone-pair electrons occupy one face of the trigonal prism. Adjacent mol-ecules are linked into a layer structure by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Sn(C(6)H(5))(2)(C(2)H(3)O(2))(2)(C(5)H(5)N)], contains two crystallography independent mol-ecules. In both mol-ecules, the Sn(IV) atom is seven-coordinated in a distorted penta-gonal-bipyramidal geometry with the two phenyl groups in axial positions. The two mol-ecules differ mainly in the torsion of the phenyl and pyridine rings. The dihredral angles between the phenyl rings are 89.54 (15) and 60.11 (14)° in the two mol-ecules while the dihedral angles between the pyridine rings and the acetate groups are 12.6 (2) and 41.77 (13)° in the two mol-ecules.

Project description:In the title compound, [Mn(C(8)H(3)NO(6))(C(8)H(7)N(3))(2)(H(2)O)]·0.5H(2)O, the Mn(2+) ion is octa-hedrally coordinated by two 2-(1H-pyrazol-3-yl)pyridine ligands, one 4-nitro-phthalate ligand and one coordinated water mol-ecule leading to an overall MnN(4)O(2) coordination environment. The two 2-(1H-pyrazol-3-yl)pyridine ligands, which deviate from planarity by 0.0187 (2) and 0.0601 (2) Å, make a dihedral angle of 81.90 (6)°. An intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond occurs. Inter-molecular π-π stacking inter-actions with a face-to-face separation of 3.61 (1) Å between the 2-(1H-pyrazol-3-yl)pyridine ligands is observed. Additionally, O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding involving the uncoordinated water (which is situated on an inversion center), coordinated water mol-ecules and 2-(1H-pyrazol-3-yl)pyridine ligands leads to a three-dimensional network in the crystal structure.

The water O atoms are in a trans arrangement and one of them forms an intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bond to the uncoordinated O atom of the acetate ion. In the crystal, the complex mol-ecules and water mol-ecules are connected by O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds to generate a three-dimensional network.
