ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(11)H(14)N(2)O(3), an inter-molecular inter-action between a nitro group O atom and a neighboring benzene ring helps to stabilize the crystal structure [N⋯centroid = 3.933 (2) Å]. No classical hydrogen bonds are observed in the crystal packing.

One of these mol-ecules is found to have a configuration with a greater twist between its two aromatic rings than the other two [compare 70.26 (13) and 72.31 (12)° with 84.22 (12)°]. There are also differences in the number and nature of the weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O contacts formed by each of the three mol-ecules.
