Synthesis of cross-conjugated trienes by rhodium-catalyzed dimerization of monosubstituted allenes.

ABSTRACT: A rhodium(I)/dppe catalyst promoted dimerization of monosubstituted allenes in a stereoselective manner to give cross-conjugated trienes, which are different from those obtained by a palladium catalyst.
