Project description:Methylotrophic bacteria are widespread microbes which can use one carbon compound as their only carbon and energy sources. Here we report the finished, annotated genome sequence of the methylotrophic bacterium Methylovorus sp. strain MP688, which was isolated from soil for high-level production of pyrroloquinolone quinone (PQQ) in our lab.
Project description:Here, we report the complete genome sequence of Burkholderia sp. strain FERM BP-3421, a bacterium isolated previously from a soil sample in Japan. Strain FERM BP-3421 produces spliceostatins, which are splicing modulatory antitumor agents that advanced to preclinical development. The genome is composed of four circular replicons of 3.90, 3.0, 0.59, and 0.24 Mbp.
Project description:Here, we report the complete genome sequence of Psychrobacter sp. strain G, isolated from King George Island, Antarctica, which can produce lipolytic enzymes at low temperatures. The genomics information of this strain will facilitate the study of the physiology, cold adaptation properties, and evolution of this genus.
Project description:Endophytes live inside plant tissues without causing any harm and may even benefit plants. Here, we provide the high-quality genome sequence of Burkholderia sp. strain KJ006, an endophytic bacterium of rice with antifungal activity. The 6.6-Mb genome, consisting of three chromosomes and a single plasmid, contains genes related to plant growth promotion or degradation of aromatic compounds.
Project description:Celeribacter sp. strain TSPH2, a novel producer of indigo, was isolated from oil-contaminated sediment. We present here its genome sequence consisting of one circular chromosome (4 Mb) and one plasmid (0.15 Mb), with an overall G+C content of 60.9%. This strain contains oxygenase genes involved in indigo synthesis, such as flavin-containing monooxygenase.
Project description:Thermus sp. strain CCB_US3_UF1, a thermophilic bacterium, has been isolated from a hot spring in Malaysia. Here, we present the complete genome sequence of Thermus sp. CCB_US3_UF1.
Project description:The actinomycete Streptomyces sp. strain Gö40/10 has the potential to produce a range of secondary metabolites, one of which is collinolactone, a compound with neuroprotective properties and potential for pharmaceutical applications. The genome was sequenced with Oxford Nanopore Technologies MinION and Illumina MiSeq systems and consists of a single 9,635,564-nucleotide linear chromosome.
Project description:Kosakonia sp. strain CCTCC M2018092 is a fucose-rich exopolysaccharide producer that was isolated from spring water in Chongqing, Southwest China. In this study, the whole-genome sequence and genetic characteristics of this strain were elucidated. This genome contained 4,789,478 bp, with a G+C content of 56.08% (excluding the plasmid). The genome information in this study will facilitate understanding of the mechanism of high yield of fucose-rich exopolysaccharide produced by Kosakonia sp. CCTCC M2018092.
Project description:Cycloclasticus sp. strain P1 was isolated from deep-sea sediments of the Pacific Ocean and characterized as a unique bacterium in the degradation of pyrene, a four-ring polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH). Here we report the complete genome of P1 and genes associated with PAH degradation.
Project description:The bacterial strain SMR4y belongs to the diverse microbiome of the marine diatom Skeletonema marinoi strain R05AC. After assembly of its genome, presented here, and subsequent analyses, we placed it in the genus Sphingorhabdus This strain has a 3,479,724-bp circular chromosome (with 3,340 coding sequences) and no known plasmids.
