ABSTRACT: In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(4)H(10)NO(+)·C(8)H(7)O(3) (-)·C(8)H(8)O(3)·H(2)O, cations, anions and neutral mol-ecules are linked by inter-molecular N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into chains running parallel to the c axis. The -CO(2) groups make dihedral angles of 4.6 (3) and 5.7 (4)° with the attached ring in the 4-methoxybenzoic acid molecule and the 4-methoxybenzoate anion, respectively.
