ABSTRACT: The structure of the title compound, C(19)H(20)N(2)O(2)S, displays inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonding, which generates inversion dimers. There is no π-π stacking in the crystal structure. The dihedral angle between the phenyl ring and naphthalene ring system is 59.16 (11)°.

The 2-amino-ethyl group has a coiled conformation with an N-C-C-NH(2) torsion angle of 53.6 (4)°. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H⋯N and weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link mol-ecules into chains along [001].

Project description:The molecule of the title compound, C(24)H(36)N(2)O(2)S, displays a U-shaped conformation. The prominent inter-molecular inter-actions are N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, resulting in the formation of dimers. Additional C-H⋯π contacts involving one of the methyl-ene groups of the macrocycle and the naphthalene rings of a neighbouring mol-ecule stabilize the packing structure. In the crystal structure, the cyclo-dodecyl ring is disordered over two positions; the site occupancy factors are ca 0.86 and 0.14.

Project description:The title compound, C(19)H(17)ClN(4)O(3)S, is a Schiff base compound of 5-chloro-salicylaldehyde and sulfamethazine [4-amino-N-(4,6-dimethyl-2-pyrimidin-yl)benzene-sulfonamide]. The geometry around the S atom is distorted tetra-hedral, comprising two O atoms of the sulfonyl group, a C atom of a benzene ring and the amino N atom. The title compound has an intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bond and two inter-molecular C-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, which link neighbouring mol-ecules into 10-membered rings. As a result of an unavoidable conformational arrangement, a slightly short intra-molecular contact of distance 2.59 Å exists between an O atom of the sulfonyl group and an H atom of the sulfamethazine benzene ring.

Project description:The title Schiff base compound, C15H17N3O2S, is non-planar with a dihedral angle of 69.88 (4)° between the planes of the benzene rings. In the crystal, pairs of N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, between the sulfonamide nitro-gen-H atom and the azomethine N atom, link the mol-ecules into inversion dimers, forming R 2 (2)(16) ring motifs. These dimers are linked by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, between the sulfonamide nitro-gen-H atom and one sulfonamide O atom, forming sheets lying parallel to (100). Project description:The title compound, C(11)H(15)N(3)O, crystallizes with two independent mol-ecules per asymmetric unit which differ slightly in their side-chain orientations: the C=N-N-C torsion angle is -176.2 (3)° in one of the mol-ecules and -179.83 (3)° in the other. Each independent mol-ecule adopts a trans configuration with respect to the C=N bond. The two independent mol-ecules are related by a pseudo-inversion center and they exist as a N-H⋯O hydrogen-bonded dimer. The dimers are linked into zigzag chains along [100] by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
