ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(14)H(12)ClNO, contains two independent mol-ecules in which the dihedral angles between the two aromatic rings are 51.76 (6) and 51.48 (7)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, which link the mol-ecules into chains running along the c axis.
