ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, {[Pb(C(9)H(6)NO)(2)]·0.5C(3)H(7)NO}(n), comprises Pb(quinolate)(2) and half a dimethyl-formamide mol-ecule (which is disordered about a centre of inversion). The quinolate ligands N,O-chelate to a Pb(II) ion and simultaneously bridge a neighbouring Pb(II) ion to form a polymeric chain along [100] comprising Pb-linked Pb(2)O(2) distorted rhombi. These chains pack to form a square grid, with the channels thus defined occupied by the disordered solvent mol-ecules.

Project description:The title compound, [Li(C(5)H(4)N(3)O(2))(H(2)O)](n), is composed of centrosymmetric dinuclear units, in which the Li(I) ions are bridged by two carboxyl-ate O atoms donated by two ligands. The dinuclear unit is nearly planar [r.m.s. deviation = 0.0125 (2) Å]. The Li(I) ion is coordinated by an N,O-chelating ligand, a bridging carboxyl-ate O atom from another ligand and two bridging water O atoms in a distorted trigonal-bipyra-midal geometry. The water O atoms bridge the dinuclear units into a polymeric mol-ecular column along [010]. The columns are held together by O-H⋯O and N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds. An intra-molecular N-H⋯O inter-action also occurs.

Project description:In the title coordination polymer, {[Co(C(3)H(7)COO)(2)(H(2)O)]·0.7H(2)O}(n), the Co(2+) cation is coordinated by four bridging butano-ate anions and two bridging water mol-ecules in a severely distorted octa-hedral geometry. The Co(2+) cations are linked by means of bridging ligands into polymeric chains along [010]. These chains are further connected to each other through hydrogen bonds involving partially occupied disordered water mol-ecules; thus, sheets parallel to (001) are formed. Project description:In the polymeric title complex, {[Mn(C(8)H(4)O(4))(C(7)H(6)N(2))(H(2)O)(2)]·2H(2)O}(n), the Mn(II) cation is coordinated by two benzene-dicarboxyl-ate anions, one benzimidazole ligand and two water mol-ecules in a distorted MnNO(5) octa-hedral geometry. In the crystal, each benzene-dicarboxyl-ate anion bridges adjacent Mn(II) cations through the terminal carboxyl-ate groups, forming a polymeric complex chain along the a axis. One Mn-O(carboxyl-ate) bond is much longer than the others. In the crystal, π-π stacking is observed between nearly parallel [dihedral angle = 4.32 (6)°] benzimidazole aromatic ring systems of adjacent mol-ecules, the centroid-centroid distance between the imidazole and benzene rings being 3.5421 (11) Å. Extensive inter-molecular O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonding is present in the crystal structure. The two lattice water mol-ecules are located on twofold rotation axes.

Each Pr(III) atom is thus nine-coordinated by two N atoms of a 1,10-phenanthroline ligand and seven O atoms from six phenoxy-acetate ligands. The coordination geometry at the Pr(III) atom is distorted tricapped trigonal prismatic. One phenyl ring is disordered over two positions; the site occupancy factors are ca 0.6 and 0.4.
