{4-Bromo-2-[(5-chloro-2-oxidophen-yl)imino-methyl]-phenolato-κO,N,O'}(methanol-κO)(methano-lato-κO)-oxidovanadium(V).

ABSTRACT: The title Schiff base complex, [V(C(13)H(7)BrClNO(2))(CH(3)O)O(CH(3)OH)], features a vanadyl group, a tridentate Schiff base ligand, and coordinated methanol and methano-late ligands. The NO(5) donor set is based on a distorted octa-hedron. Helical supra-molecular chains along [010] are found in the crystal structure mediated by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds formed between the coordinating methanol mol-ecule and the phenolate O atom of the chloro-benzene residue.

The title Schiff base complex, [V(C(13)H(7)BrClNO(2))(CH(3)O)O(CH(3)OH)], features a vanadyl group, a tridentate Schiff base ligand, and coordinated methanol and methano-late ligands. Project description:The V(V) atom in the title complex, [V(C(14)H(8)BrClN(2)O(2))(CH(3)O)O(CH(3)OH)], is six-coordinated by one phenolate O, one imine N and one enolic O atom of the hydrazone ligand, one oxide O atom, one methanol O atom and one methoxide O atom in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings of the hydrazone ligand is 13.2 (3)°. The deviation of the V atom towards the oxide O atom from the plane defined by the three donor atoms of the hydrazone ligand and the meth-oxy O atom is 0.318 (2) Å. Bond lengths are comparable with those observed in similar oxidovanadium(V) complexes with hydrazone ligands. In the crystal, pairs of mol-ecules are linked through inter-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming dimers.

Project description:In the title mol-ecule, [V(C(15)H(10)I(2)N(2)O(2))(CH(3)O)O(CH(3)OH)], the V(V) atom is coordinated by one N and two O atoms from an N'-(3,5-diiodo-2-oxidobenzyl-idene-κO)-4-methyl-benzo-hydra-zidate (L) ligand, one oxide O atom, one methano-late [V-O = 1.761 (3) Å] and one methanol [V-O = 2.383 (4) Å] O atom in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. In the L ligand, the two benzene rings are nearly parallel, forming a dihedral angle of 2.0 (1)°. In the crystal, inter-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link pairs of mol-ecules into centrosymmetric dimers which exhibit π-π inter-actions between the aromatic rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.677 (5) Å].

The methanol O atom lies trans to the V=O group. The dihedral angle between the pyridine ring and the naphthalene ring system is 31.52 (10)°. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds occur.
