ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Ni(C(9)H(10)NO(2))(2)(H(2)O)(2)], the coordination geometry around the Ni(II) ion can be described as distorted octa-hedral, with two N atoms and two O atoms from phenyl-alaninate ligands in the basal plane and two aqua O atoms at the axial sites. The crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
