ABSTRACT: In the title complex, cis-[PtCl(4)(C(3)H(4)N(2))(2)], the Pt(IV) ion lies on a twofold rotation axis and is coordinated in a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry. The dihedral angle between the imidazole rings is 69.9 (2)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.
