ABSTRACT: In the title complex, [Cu(C(9)H(7)N(2)O(2)S)(2)], the Cu(II) ion, located on an inversion center, adopts an N(2)O(2) square-planar coord-ination. The 2-(5-methyl-sulfanyl-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)phenolate ligand is chelated to the central Cu(II) ion in an N,O-bidentate manner.

Project description:In the title complex, [Cu(C(12)H(7)Cl(2)N(2)O)(2)], the Cu(II) center is tetra-coordinated by two phenolic O and two azomethine N atoms from two bidentate 4-chloro-2-[(2-chloro-3-pyrid-yl)imino-meth-yl]phenolate (L) ligands. In the crystal structure, the Cu(II) atom has a distorted square-planar coordination environment. The dihedral angles between the benzene and pyridyl rings are 54.39 (3) and 80.14 (4)°, indicating that the pyridine ring has a considerably weaker steric hindrance. The packing of the mol-ecule is controlled by C-H⋯π(Ph) inter-actions and short O⋯Cl inter-actions [3.196 (4) Å], linking the mol-ecules into a chain-like structure along the c axis.

Project description:The title complex, [Mo(C(15)H(22)BN(6))(C(7)H(7)O)(2)(NO)], contains an {MoNO}(4) core stabilized by κ(3)--hydrotris-(3,5-dimethyl-pyrazol-1-yl)borate, [Tp(Me2)](-), and two anionic m-cresolate ligands, leading to a distorted octa-hedral geometry for the Mo atom. The short Mo-O bond lengths [1.935 (2) and 1.971 (2) Å], as well as large Mo-O-Csp(2) angles [134.2 (2) and 143.54 (19)°], indicate dπ(Mo)-pπ(O) inter-actions, which are clearly weaker when compared with {Mo(NO)(Tp(Me2))} alkoxides. The nitrosyl system is virtually linear [179.3 (3)°] with Mo-N and N-O bond lengths of 1.760 (2) and 1.205 (3) Å, respectively. Intra- and inter-molecular C-H((Ph or CH(3)))⋯π((Ph)) inter-actions between adjacent phenyl rings are found in the crystal structure (d(H⋯Ph) in the range 2.743-2.886 Å). One of the Ph rings shows disorder, i.e. swinging in the ring plane.

Project description:In the title complex, [Cu(C13H11N2O)Cl(C6H8N2)], the Cu(II) atom adopts a distorted tetra-hedral geometry being coordinated by the phenolic O atom and the azomethine N atom of the Schiff base ligand N-salicyl-idene 2-amino-pyridine, and by the 2-amino-pyridine N atom and a Cl atom. The pyridyl N atom of the Schiff base and the imino N atom of the 4-methyl-pyridine-2-yl-imino ligand are not involved in the coordination. There is an intra-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bond involving the pyridine N atom and the amino group of the 2-amino-pyridine ligand. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds, forming chains propagating along [001].

Project description:The structure of the title compound, [Cu(C(8)H(7)O(2))(2)(C(3)H(4)N(2))(2)(C(8)H(8)O(2))(2)], consists of centrosymmetric monomeric units, in which the Cu(II) atom has a tetra-gonally distorted octa-hedral coordination involving two imidazole N atoms and two carboxyl-ate O atoms in the square plane [Cu-N = 1.964 (3) and Cu-O = 1.960 (2) Å] and 2-methyl-benzoic acid O atoms in axial sites [Cu-O = 2.753 (3) Å]. Within the complex, the carb-oxy-lic acid forms intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, while the mol-ecules are assembled through N-H⋯O(carbox-yl) hydrogen bonds into chains extending along the a-axis direction. These chains are further linked by weak π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid separation = 3.930 (2) Å].
