ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(6)H(11)NO(3)S, crystallizes utilizing a three-dimensional set of O-H⋯O, N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The 1,3-oxazolidin-2-one ring adopts an envelope conformation with the C atom bearing the hy-droxy-methyl group as the flap.
