Epithelial ovarian cancers (EOCs) often exhibit morphologic features of embryonic Müllerian duct-derived tissue lineages and colonize peritoneal surfaces that overlie connective and adipose tissues. However, the mechanisms that enable EOC cells to readily adapt to the peritoneal environment are poorly understood.
