Rac-5-Bromo-N-benzyl-isatincreatinine ethanol monosolvate.

ABSTRACT: IN THE TITLE COMPOUND [SYSTEMATIC NAME: rac-1-benzyl-5-bromo-3-hy-droxy-3-(2-imino-3-methyl-5-oxoimidazolidin-4-yl)-2,3-dihydro-1H-indol-2-one ethanol monosolvate], C(19)H(17)BrN(4)O(3)·C(2)H(5)OH, which crystallized as a racemate (RR and SS), the isatin ring is almost planar, with an r.m.s. deviations from the mean plane of 0.0276 (14) Å. The phenyl ring of the benzyl group makes a dihedral angle with the mean plane of the isatin ring of 87.40 (5)° and the dihedral angle between the imidazole and isatin rings is 58.56 (7)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into two-dimensional pleated-sheet networks in the ac plane formed by O-H⋯O, N-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds; within these sheets there are R(4) (4)(10) rings that involve three mol-ecules of the title compound and a single ethanol solvent mol-ecule. In addition, there are π-π inter-actions between inversion-related benzyl groups, with an inter-planar spacing of 3.444 (3) Å.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, C9H10BrNO, molecules are linked via O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds of a moderate strength between the hy-droxy groups and the imine N atoms. The mean planes of the two benzene rings make a dihedral angle of 8.4 (3)°. In the benzohydrazide mol-ecule, there is an intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bond and the NH group is hydrogen bonded to the methanol solvent mol-ecule. Lamotrigine ethanol monosolvate.

Project description:Lamotrigine is an active pharmaceutical ingredient used as a treatment for epilepsy and psychiatric disorders. Single crystals of an ethano-late solvate, C9H7Cl2N5·C2H5OH, were produced by slow evaporation of a saturated solution from anhydrous ethanol. Within the crystal structure, the lamotrigine mol-ecules form dimers through N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds involving the amine N atoms in the ortho position of the triazine group. These dimers are linked into a tape motif through hydrogen bonds involving the amine N atoms in the para position. The ethanol and lamotrigine are present in a 1:1 ratio in the lattice with the ethyl group of the ethanol mol-ecule exhibiting disorder with an occupancy ratio of 0.516 (14):0.484 (14).

Project description:CRYSTALS OF THE TITLE COMPOUND (SYSTEMATIC NAME: 3β-hy-droxy-olean-12-en-28-oic acid ethanol monosolvate), C(30)H(48)O(3)·C(2)H(5)OH, were obtained from unsuccessful co-crystallization trials. The asymmetric unit contains two symmetry-independent oleanolic acid mol-ecules, as well as two ethanol solvent mol-ecules. Inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds stabilize the crystal packing. In the oleanolic acid mol-ecules, ring C has a slightly distorted envelope conformation, while rings A, B, D and E adopt chair conformations and rings D and E are cis-fused. Both independent ethanol mol-ecules are orientationally disordered [occupancy ratios of 0.742 (8):0.258 (8) and 0.632 (12):0.368 (12).

Project description:The title compound, C19H20N2O·C2H5OH, is an ethanol solvate of an indol alkaloid which was extracted from the plant Vinca erecta. The fused piperidine ring adopts an approximate boat conformation and the pyrrolidine ring an envelope conformation with one of the methyl-ene C atoms at the flap. An intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond forms an S6 ring motif. Project description:In the title structure, C21H20O5·C2H5OH, the curcumine-type mol-ecule has a double E conformation for the two benzyl-idene double bonds [C=C = 1.342 (4) and 1.349 (4) Å] and is nearly planar with respect to the non-H atoms (r.m.s. deviation from planarity = 0.069 Å). The two phenolic OH groups form bifurcated hydrogen bonds with intra-molecular branches to adjacent meth-oxy O atoms and inter-molecular branches to either a neighbouring mol-ecule or an ethanol solvent mol-ecule. The ethanol O atom donates a hydrogen bond to the keto O atom. These hydrogen bonds link the constituents into layers parallel to (101) in the crystal structure.

Project description:The title compound, C(19)H(18)N(4)O(3) [systematic name: (RS)-1-benzyl-3-hy-droxy-3-(2-imino-3-methyl-5-oxoimidazolidin-4-yl)-2,3-dihydro-1H-indol-2-one], was prepared as a racemate (RR and SS) by the aldol condensation of N-benzyl-isatin with creatinine in the presence of sodium acetate in acetic acid. The r.m.s. deviation of the isatin ring system is 0.033 Å. The benzyl group is disordered over two orientations, with refined occupancies of 0.847 (7) and 0.153 (7). The dihedral angles between the isatin ring system and the benzene ring (major disorder component) and the imidazole ring are 82.82 (7) and 51.31 (3)°, respectively, In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into (001) sheets by N-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, which incorporate R(2) (2)(9) ring motifs. The crystal was grown from mixed solvents (ethanol, methanol and possibly also ethyl acetate). These solvents are disordered in the crystal and the resulting electron density was found to be uninter-pretable. The solvent contribution to the scattering was removed with the SQUEEZE routine in PLATON [Spek (2009 ▶). Acta Cryst. D65, 148-155]. The formula mass and density do not take account of the solvent.
