ABSTRACT: The Ag(I) atom in the title compound, [Ag(C11H11N3O)3]NO3, shows a T-shaped coordination arising from bonding to the N atom of three N-heterocycles; the geometry is distorted towards square pyramidal owing to two weak Ag?Onitrate inter-actions [Ag?O = 2.691?(5) and 3.073?(5)?Å]. The cation and anion are linked by O-H?N and N-H?O hydrogen bonds, generating a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The Ag(I) atom in the title centrosymmetric dinuclear compound, [Ag2(C11H10N3O)2(C11H11N3O)2]·2H2O, shows a T-shaped coordination arising from bonding to the N atom of a neutral 2-[(pyrimidin-2-yl)amino-meth-yl]phenol ligand, the N atom of the 2-[(pyrimidin-2-yl)amino-meth-yl]phenolate anion [N-Ag-N = 171.8?(1)°] and the terminal O atom of the other anion [Ag-O = 2.606?(3)?Å]. A pair of 2-[(pyrimidin-2-yl)amino-meth-yl]phenolate anions link the two Ag(I) atoms to form the dinuclear compound. In the crystal, adjacent dinuclear mol-ecules are linked to the lattice water mol-ecules, generating an O-H?O- and N-H?O-connected three-dimensional network. In the crystal, the hy-droxy H atom is disordered over two positions in a 1:1 ratio; one half-occupancy H atom is connected to one hy-droxy group, whereas the other half-occupancy H atom is connected to another hy-droxy group.

Project description:The Ag(I) atom in the polycationic salt, {[Ag(C(11)H(11)N(3)O)]NO(3)}(n), shows a linear coordination [N-Ag-N = 175.0?(2)°]; the polymeric nature arises from bridging by the pyrazine portion of the ligand, resulting in chains extending parallel to [100]. The NO(3) (-) counter-ions surround the polymeric chain and inter-act only weakly with it [Ag?O = 2.701?(4) and 2.810?(5)?Å]. Adjacent chains are linked into a three-dimensional network by O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, [Eu(C(12)H(9.33)N(2)O)(3)]NO(3), was obtained by the reaction of Eu(NO(3))·3H(2)O and the Schiff base ligand 2-(2-pyridylimino-meth-yl)phenol. The Eu atom is located on a threefold rotation axis and is nine-coordinated by three tridentate Schiff base ligands in a distorted tricapped trigonal-prismatic geometry. The O atom at the phenol hydr-oxy group is partially deprotonated and the H atoms are modelled with one-third occupancy according to the space group R. Offset face-to-face π-π [centroid-centroid distance = 3.886 (3) Å] and edge-to-face C-H⋯π inter-actions are found between adjacent mol-ecules. An intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bond is also present.

Project description:The title compound, C(16)H(14)N(6)O, was prepared by the condensation of 4-(trifluoro-meth-yl)phenol and sodium pyrazol-1-ide in a yield of 58%. The dihedral angles formed by the planes of the pyrazole rings are 50.7 (2), 71.2 (3) and 95.8 (2)°. The mol-ecules are associated into dimers by pairs of inter-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds involving the hy-droxy groups and pyrazole N atoms. In addition, π-π stacking between the phenol rings of these inversion-related dimers is observed, with a ring centroid-to-centroid distance of 3.9247 (10) Å.
