3-Methyl-benzene-1,2-diamine.

ABSTRACT: The title compound, C7H10N2, was synthesized from 2-methyl-6-nitro-aniline by a reduction reaction. In the crystal, molecules are linked via N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming two-dimensional networks lying parallel to (100). These networks are stabilized by C-H⋯π and N-H⋯π inter-actions.

Project description:The mol-ecule of the title compound, C(6)H(7)N(3)O(2), a derivative of o-phenyl-enediamine, nearly shows non-crystallographic C(s) symmetry. C-C-C angles span the range 116.25 (11)-122.35 (11)°. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H⋯O and N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds connect mol-ecules into undulating sheets perpendicular to the crystallographic a axis. A weak intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond is also observed. No π-stacking is observed in the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title compound, C(15)H(14)N(4), the phenyl and pyrazole rings are essentially coplanar, being twisted relative to each other by a dihedral of only 3.68 (11)°. The benzene ring makes a dihedral angle of 64.47 (11)° with the pyrazole ring. The crystal structure is stabilized by two inter-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen-bonds, which build a two-dimensional network developing parallel to (100). An intra-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bond also occurs.

Project description:Two independent half-mol-ecules, each being completed by inversion symmetry, comprise the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(14)H(16)N(2)S(2). The major difference between the mol-ecules is found in the central C-C bond [the C-N-C-C torsion angles are 114.66 (18) and 128.94 (18)° in the two mol-ecules]. The thio-phene and imine groups are almost co-planar in each case [S-C-C-N torsion angles = -6.9 (2) and -3.6 (2)°]. In the crystal, the mol-ecules aggregate into supra-molecular chains via C-H⋯π inter-actions.

Project description:The title complex, [Cu(SO(4))(C(6)H(8)N(2))(2)]·H(2)O, was obtained under hydro-thermal conditions. The Cu(II) ion is five-coordinated in a distorted square-pyramidal manner by four N atoms from two benzene-1,2-diamine ligands at the base and one O atom from a monodentate sulfate anion at the apex of the coordination polyhedron. N-H⋯O hydrogen bonding between the amino functions and the sulfate groups leads to the formation of layers parallel to (001). C-H⋯O hydrogen bonding inter-actions between the layers consolidate the three-dimensional set-up. There are voids in the structure filled with lattice water mol-ecules that are disordered over three sites in a 0.430 (6):0.270 (6):0.300 (6) ratio.
