ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C8H11NO2S, the aldehyde group is approximately coplanar with the thio-phene ring [maximum deviation = 0.023 (2) Å]. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into supra-molecular chains propagating along the a-axis direction.
