(?(6)-Benzene)-dichlorido-(chloro-dicyclo-hexyl-phosphane-?P)ruthenium(II) chloro-form monosolvate.

ABSTRACT: The title compound, [RuCl2(?(6)-C6H6)(C12H22ClP)]·CHCl3, was prepared by reaction of [RuCl2(?(6)-C6H6)]2 with chloro-dicyclo-hexyl-phosphane in CHCl3 at 323?K under argon. The Ru(II) atom is surrounded by one arene ligand, two Cl atoms and a phosphane ligand in a piano-stool geometry. The phosphane ligand is linked by the P atom, with an Ru-P bond length of 2.3247?(4)?Å. Both cyclo-hexyl rings at the P atom adopt a chair conformation. In the crystal, the Ru(II) complex mol-ecule and the chloro-form solvent mol-ecule are linked by a bifurcated C-H?(Cl,Cl) hydrogen bond. Intra-molecular C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds are also observed.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [RuCl2(C6H6)(C18H27P)]·1.5C6H6, contains one mol-ecule of the Ru(II) complex and one and a half solvent molecules as one of these is located about a centre of inversion. The Ru(II) atom has a classical three-legged piano-stool environment being coordinated by an η(6)-benzene ligand [Ru-centroid = 1.6964 (6) Å], two chloride ligands with an average Ru-Cl bond length of 2.4138 (3) Å and a dicyclo-hexyl-phenyl-phosphane ligand [Ru-P = 2.3786 (3) Å]. The effective cone angle for the phosphane was calculated to be 158°. In the crystal, weak C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds link the Ru(II) complexes into centrosymmetric dimers. The crystal packing exhibits intra- and inter-molecular C-H⋯π inter-actions resulting in a zigzag pattern in the [101] direction.

Project description:In the title compound, [Ag{P(C(6)H(11))(2)(C(6)H(5))}(2)]ClO(4)·CH(2)Cl(2), the Ag(I) atom in the mononuclear complex cation is coordinated by two P atoms of the phosphane ligands [Ag-P = 2.3993 (4) and 2.4011 (4) Å; P-Ag-P = 177.473 (18)°] and the perchlorate anion acts as the counter-anion. There is an Ag⋯O(perchlorate) inter-action of 2.873 (2) Å, which contributes to the slightly non-linear bond angle about the Ag(I) atom. Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions involving phenyl, cyclo-hexyl and dichloro-methane H-atom donors and perchlorate O-atom acceptors contribute to the stabilization of the crystal structure.

Project description:The title compound, a Ga(II) dimer, [Ga(2)Br(4)(C(12)H(23)P)(2)], was synthesized by reaction of GaBr(THF)(n) (THF is tetra-hydro-furan) with dicyclo-hexyl-phosphine in toluene. At 150 K the crystallographically centrosymmetric molecule exhibits disorder in which one of the two independent cyclo-hexyl groups is modelled over two sites in a 62 (1):38 (1) ratio. In d(6)-benzene solution, the compound exhibits virtual C(2h) symmetry as determined by (1)H NMR. The coordination environment of the Ga(II) atom is distorted tetrahedral.

Project description:The Ru(II) atom in the title compound, [RuCl(2)(C(12)H(18))(C(9)H(12)ClN(3)O)]·CHCl(3), exhibits a typical piano-stool coordination, defined by a hexa-methyl-benzene ligand, two chloride ligands and a pyridyl-urea ligand coordinated through the pyridine N atom. In the crystal, a dimeric structure is observed due to two strong N-H⋯Cl inter-actions between the NH groups of urea and the two chloride ligands of neighbouring mol-ecules. In addition, the C=O group of the urea moiety inter-acts with the solvent mol-ecule through weak C-H⋯O interactions.

Project description:The title compound, [Ru(CO3)(η(6)-C6H6){(C6H11)2P(CH2C10H7)}]·3CHCl3, was synthesized by carbonation of [RuCl2(η(6)-C6H6){(C6H11)2P(CH2C10H7)}] with NaHCO3 in methanol at room temperature. The Ru(II) atom is surrounded by a benzene ligand, a chelating carbonate group and a phosphane ligand in a piano-stool configuration. The crystal packing is consolidated by C-H⋯O and C-H⋯Cl hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between adjacent metal complexes and between the complexes and the solvent mol-ecules. The asymmetric unit contains one metal complex and three chloro-form solvent mol-ecules of which only one was modelled. The estimated diffraction contributions of the other two strongly disordered chloro-form solvent mol-ecules were substracted from the observed diffraction data using the SQUEEZE procedure in PLATON [Spek (2009 ▶). Project description:The title compound, cis-[RuCl(2)(C(3)H(9)P)(4)]·2C(6)H(6), contains a complex mol-ecule with a crystallographic mirror plane passing through the Ru(II) atom, the two cis-disposed Cl ligands and two P atoms of the two cis-disposed P(CH(3))(3) ligands. The Ru(II) atom adopts a distorted octa-hedral RuCl(2)P(4) coordination geometry with the two trans-disposed P atoms occupying the axial positions. The packing of the structure is accomplished through non-classical C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds between the benzene solvent mol-ecule and one of the Cl ligands.

Project description:The single-crystal X-ray structure analysis of [RuCl(2)(C(12)H(18))(C(5)H(7)NO)] reveals a distorted piano-stool geometry around the Ru(II) atom, with a hexa-methyl-benzene ligand, two chloride ligands and a furfuryl-amine ligand, the latter coordinating through the amine group. In the crystal, a dimeric structure is observed as a result of N-H⋯Cl inter-actions between two symmetry-related mol-ecules.

Project description:The title compound, [PtCl(2)(C(21)H(33)P)(2)]·C(3)H(6)O, crystallizes with an accompanying acetone solvent mol-ecule. The metal atom shows a distorted square-planar coordination environment, with a P-Pt-P angle of 172.41 (3)° as the most prominent feature. Both isopropyl fragments were treated as disordered over two conformations with occupancy ratios of 0.55 (2):0.45 (2) and 0.58 (2):0.42 (2). The solvent mol-ecule was also disordered over two orientations in a 1:1 ratio. The crystal studied was a non-merohedral twin with a twin component of 32.4%.
